2012 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

It's big and it's ongoing. He promises a lot of noise, action and sexy body, while not really worry about refinement. No, it's not a Michael Bay film, it's something much better: the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette.

Instead of computer generated robots and epic explosions, special effects give the Corvette a more visceral, personal nature. Whether you choose 430-horsepower base model and 638 hp ZR1, Corvette wide rear tires are in constant danger of being sprayed in fine dust grains of black rubber. In short, it is the American sports car. It has the power and lots of it.

The current generation (C6) Corvette debuted in 2005, and although we would not say it's seen better days, it is certainly feeling his age. The cabin lacks sophistication, quality and craftsmanship of other sports cars in its class, while the electronic controls many still use the previous generation of GM switchgear.

However, linear thrill is timeless, and the Corvette team has done enough over the years to keep his cool American classic. For 2012, the seats have fortunately gained more strength, the wheel has been updated and special ultra-high performance tires are now available on the Z06 and ZR1. There are also Chevrolet Centennial Edition, which honors Chevrolet celebrates 100 years on the road with a special black on black color scheme.

Regardless of what has been changed or added, the Chevy Corvette 2012 offers the same type of excitement since it has almost the very beginning: American power, American style and American values. Vette actually gives you more bang for your buck in terms of power than anything else on the road. But his lack of sophistication means cars like the BMW M3, Nissan GT-R and Porsche sports cars more will continue to have great appeal. Let us not forget the new wave of American muscle cars include the Dodge Challenger SRT8 and the Ford Shelby GT500. At the end of the day, even if America loves a big blockbuster Saracens, and that's exactly what the Corvette is.
