2011 Scion TC

Toyota Scion points jubilation that is the youngest average customer in the industry and that 71 percent of all 800,000 or so slides were sold to buyers who are new to Toyota. It seems Scion customers are the latest generation of America, Millennium, which are in their middle of this coming of age of the phase of his life. Its oldest members are about 30 years and the youngest is approaching puberty. Interestingly, with a median age of 29, he is the tC coupe has 310,000 total sales since 2002 (or 41 percent of all production Scion) managed to attract a younger clientele of all.In other words, when the funky xB may be better known, it is that the TC is the most important brand of the product. So, it needs a new Scion tC in 2011 to be the undisputed hit. Especially when the second generation xB is, many of the measures do not live up to the success of its direct predecessor to close.

The new 2011 tC is very similar to the previous generation. The differences are subtle, but there have been improvements in several key areas: engine options, the performance of government and stereo. The new tC is powered by a new 2.5L four-cylinder engine that turns out 180 hp and 173 Nm of torque and 19 hp and 11 Nm for a bump compared to the outgoing 2.4-liter model, and is connected to the standard six speed manual gearbox to replace the old five-speed unit. There are bigger brakes on all four corners, too.The new car will be sitting on the platform updated version of the previous McPherson suspension with double wishbones front and back again, more often an anti-roll bars and large 18-inch wheels and tires. The new power control system includes a ratio 14.8:1 ratio faster than the old hydraulic system 17.7:1.More power, bigger brakes, revised suspension and steering feel improved. Piece it all together and the 2011 tC still does not work anywhere near as a real sport. "Tuned" exhaust drones a strong acceleration. Very interesting and makes me afraid to stomp the pedal - something must be done very often depending on the car, and its 2.5-liter engine, which is a power curve is flatter than the cornfield in Iowa.If the exterior looks a little familiar (especially the way the C-pillar) should not be surprising, because the style is influenced by the concept of fuses introduced back in 2006 at the Auto Show in New York. With its high gates, the TC has redesigned the glass area less than the Camaro. As for the back door, ou might think that developers include a wiper blade of the rear window is tilted almost horizontal. The interior is comfortable, decently attractive, and is free of plastic door that is covered in the radio head unit in the old car. Budget trimming is evident everywhere, judging by the size of the hard plastics used in the cockpit. A Saving Grace is on the steering wheel. The thick frame with a flat bottom, are wrapped in leather and something you enjoy each day wrapping your fingers around every time you slip into the sports coupe.

If the drone of the "tune" the exhaust run down, and buyers will appreciate the three units of the audio head. The tC has a base 300-watt 8-speaker Pioneer audio system with auxiliary audio input ports and USB connection for iPod. Buyers can also opt for a premium Alpine sound system with a plug-in for a navigation system or a backup camera and XM Satellite Radio ®. The top-of-the-line unit has an integrated navigation system. The 2011 tC can look very similar to the previous generation, but has some important improvements that are not immediately visible, as the most powerful engine, a recalibrated suspension and more standard equipment. But do not expect these improvements add up to a performance car since the tC lacks the energy to do something beyond the grocery store. TC lack of performance, it does redeem itself by offering a compact car safe, comfortable and quiet with some practical utility to the mix.+ Plus :* Optional Alpine sound system* Smart iPod interface* Reclining rear seat- Minus :* New exterior design looks very close to the first generation* Too much use of hard plastics inside the cabin* Droning exhaust note* Uninspiring road handling dynamics

2012 Scion iQ

Moped car have always insisted that you make concessions to the absurd. Most of them seem to be a circus clown car or get it to behave like a circus clown. Generally, they are pitifully small and slow. And there was always something derogatory term for them is going through the windshield clamshell phone for entry or curled up next to the adjacent halves. Although it may be the perfect collection of microbes, or to read microfiche, motorcycle car have traditionally been impractical. But what if you could design one to behave like a real car? Then you should Scion iQ.

Often the only climb in the cockpit iQ is convinced that this is not looking for the opportunity to be different. But the wide doorways, low thresholds and anatomical seat to dispel the doubts you may have about convenience and comfort.

Once started, the first positive reaction iQ continue if the gains speed quickly and quietly. A width of 53 inches from the cockpit is enough for the iQ feel like a compact sedan. Due to its 10 meter length is 18 inches longer than the smart car, it also has enough storage space behind you to help the IQ of a car at the weekend for a couple realistic. Of course, the use of the 16.7 cubic feet of space forces the rear seats fold flat. If not, limited internal storage, only 3.5 cubic feet.

While the bills as a Scion iQ 3 +1, which will never be more than 3 adults in the car at that time. The passenger seat is actually located in front of the driver's seat to make room for the rear passenger's legs, enough to sneak in the back. The "a" Addendum to be an animal, an infant or an elf.

If the car is only 94 bhp available, the iQ is very mischievous. In a straight line acceleration, Scion seems faster than the Fiat 500 or the Chevy Volt, in particular, 0-30 mph in either direction from the General. The reason for the iQ charging start-up is exceptionally low curb weight is 2127 pounds. A couple of fly-weights of the body structure is the multiplication of the instantaneous torque continuously variable transmission provided by the iQ, and you have the perfect formula for a strong gas. Since the constraints of packaging, manual transmission is offered to the Scion, but the CVT does not manumatic action game, you can afford the choice of engine speed ranges. Top speed is 100 mph iQ.

With a car that weighs just over one tonne, the iQ is a flyweight boxing in a ring full of trucks. Therefore, Scion has 11 airbags stuffed in this tiny module to allay fears about the survival of an accident. In fact, even the trunk lid has the airbag first time there.

Often overlooked part of the credit collapse of the ability of the vehicle to avoid a first. Here, the iQ is bright thanks to a clear go-kart handling. Very telling statistic here is the iQ a radius of 12.7 meters big break. Although most of the compact sedans to make a good turnaround within the normal two-lane road, the iQ could be a couple of them in the same state.

At one point during my test drive, I found a small diameter traffic roundabout. The Scion was so anxious to temper all the obstacle that I managed to turn the island warm up three times without a single correction to the fat, red stitched leather steering wheel.

Scion iQ to prove that the cars moped does not need to be a slow, disruptive or impractical. 2012 iQ goes on sale in 7 different colors $ 15,995 in California, Washington, Oregon and Arizona October 1, 2011. Sales outside the United States later.
