RESCO Bullfrog Heritage (first look)

By TLex Here's a first look at RESCO's new 'Bullfrog Heritage', which marks 50yrs of US Naval Special Warfare from 1962 - 2012. In this vein the watch's dial will sport either the SEALs Team famous UDT Bullfrog logo or the US Navy SEALs insignia. Its case measures 42mm with 22mm lugs. It will house a Swiss automatic movement, not sure which one yet, but most likely a 2824-2 or similar. The watch will be built in a limited edition of 200 pieces. Prices range from 2450USD (steel) to 2750USD (PVD).



Design-wise there's a fair amount going on; some elements work better than others, though. I like the oversised crown, who doesn't, and the oversized markers will offer great legibility and most likely killer lume (literally the enemy will spot you a mile off!). But for whatever operational needs aside, the huge 3 o'clock dial marker, which will no doubt be very easily distinguishable from others, is a little over the top.




I usually like sub-seconds, but this one's looks a little odd to me. Aesthetically the 60-min time scale doesn't work for me, but again there must be some benefit operationally. There's no continuity between the design of the bezel teeth and the crown, which I can live with, but the wave pattern is a little out of place on this watch. I kind of like the way the strap looks so thin and tapered, most won't, but I always feels this accentuates the size of the watch case.

2011 Jeep Wrangler

Overview
This off-road rock crawling emphasizes ride comfort, and when it comes to hard-core pioneer, is rarely equaled. Bodystyle include the Wrangler two-door, four-door Wrangler Unlimited, and both are available in five trim levels: Sport, Sahara, island, mountain and Rubicon. Includes the participation of Nissan Xterra and Toyota FJ Cruiser. The Wrangler was redesigned for 2007.



Exterior
Without a three-panel hardtop has removable sections above the driver, front passenger and rear passengers. The hardtop is body color on the models of the Sahara, black in others. The standard soft-top has been redesigned for 2010 to be removed more easily, according to Jeep. The side doors are available in full or half, removable and folding windshield. Exterior features include:

Under The Hood
A 3.8-liter V-6 is the only engine for the Wrangler two-door. The Unlimited gets its own 3.8-liter V-6 with horsepower and torque slightly. Off-road pillars include a non-independent suspension (solid front and rear) and a part-time four-wheel drive available with double locking differentials.

Other features include skid plates, tow package available and a bar available electronically disconnecting front stabilizer greater ground clearance. Wrangler Sport uses a standard four-wheel drive system with incorporation of a transfer case part-time two-speed use. Mechanical features include:

- 202 hp 3.8-liter V-6 with 237 lb-ft of torque
- Available part-time or full-time four-wheel drive
- Two-wheel drive versions available unlimited
- Six-speed manual transmission
- Four-speed automatic optional (standard on the Wrangler two-wheel-drive Unlimited)

Safety
The Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited features a standard electronic stability system with technology to mitigate Chrysler turnaround that can boost brakes individually in an attempt to prevent impending rollovers. Side airbags are optional for the front seats. Side curtain airbags are not available. Standard safety features include:

2011 Jeep Patriot

New For 2011
Style and rear smaller tweaks distinguish the 2011 Patriot of his predecessor, and a maximum ground clearance increased to 9.5 inches, when properly equipped. The management of the Patriot and suspension have also been improved for better ride and handling in the Jeep.

Overview
Sharing a platform with the Jeep Compass and Dodge Caliber, the Patriot is supposed to be the most robust of the three. It can accommodate five people. To give its macho looks like a few teeth, the Patriot is available with two four-wheel drive systems. Most likely to get two Jeep Trail Rated designation, meaning it is able to meet certain standards for off-road traction, water to drive, ground clearance and much more. Patriot competitors include the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Subaru Forester.



Exterior
The Patriot has a slit in September grille, round headlamps and trapezoidal wheel openings well. Crossover receives a new front bumper, which also changes the standard fog lights. At the rear, there is a new style rear bumper. Other exterior features include:

- The standard steel wheels with 16 inch wheels optional 17-inch aluminum

- Sunroof

Interior
Two rows of seats provide room for five. 2011 Patriot is the new steering, new air conditioning, padded chest pocket, door trim and a center armrest. Among other internal features:

Under The Hood
Two four-cylinder engines are available for the Patriot. Both come standard with a five-speed manual transmission. A continuously variable automatic transmission is optional.

Buyers have three engines to choose from: front-wheel drive Freedom Drive I four-wheel drive with lock mode and Freedom Drive II Off-Road, a Trail Rated four-wheel drive. Freedom Drive II has a CVT, which includes a low range for off-road driving. The package also includes 17-inch all-terrain tires, a full-size spare tire, skid plates and tow hooks. Mechanical features include:

- Base 158 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder
- Available 172 hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder
- Both engines use regular gas

2011 Infiniti M56

Overview
Infiniti M sedan's redesigned for model year 2011. Inspired by the concept of Essence automaker unveiled at the 2009 Geneva International Motor Show, the new M is a fuel longer, more powerful and more efficient than its predecessor. M plugs a wide range of new opportunities, purchases of luxury sedans mid-sized Jaguar and Lincoln MKS XF and out, respectively, and Mercedes came with a redesigned E-class. BMW new 5 series in the wings. The new M is available in two iterations. The M37 uses a 3.7-liter V-6 and M56 has a new 5.6-liter V-8. Respectively, the cars will replace last year's M35 and M45. As in the previous generation, will both come with rear-wheel drive.



Exterior
Slightly shorter than the outgoing M, 2011 M56 step is unchanged, but adds a couple of inches wide and less than an inch in length. Its design combines the highest output in the presence of M've seen some of the curves in the current turn-G35-G37 sedan. A large grille sits low on the face of M, which resembles the grid is Essence. Back, the tail increases slightly in the middle. Eighteen-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust pipes, Xenon headlights and a power-folding mirrors are standard. Rear-wheel drive M56 offers a Sport package that adds 20-inch wheels, darker grille, headlights and bumper darker one.

Interior
As before, the board M falls below the driver and results in an open cockpit and spacious. A large panel with controls for navigation systems and climate before sitting nearby, while transmission remains short shifter wrapped in leather. Available materials include a premium suede headlining, imitation stitched leather dash and trim panels with tracery wood accents in silver powder. Optional semi-aniline leather has a similar feel to a leather sofa, Infiniti says. A long list of standard features includes a CD stereo with 10 speakers and support for USB / iPod, power, heating and cooling front seats, leather, rear backup camera and keyless entry with push button Start. Last generation Infiniti navigation system is also standard. Music lovers can choose a 16-speaker Bose surround sound stereo including the speakers on both sides of each front headrest.



Under The Hood
The M56 is 5.6-liter V-8 420 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque, and torque with a seven-speed automatic transmission. A controller button, called Infiniti disk allows the driver to program the transmission options, including the sensitivity of accelerator and gear shift points to the Standard, Eco, Sport modes or snow. Eco-mode provides resistance against the accelerator right foot when it detects the driver's driving habits, ineffective, and it also includes an indicator gauge yellow to green, which shows how well you drive. Sports package includes a sport-tuned suspension and four wheel steering system. The package also swaps massive brakes standard 14-inch front and 13.8 inch rear discs.

Safety
Safety features include six airbags, active head restraints, antilock brakes, traction control and electronic stability. Blind and warning systems, lane departure point are optional. This is the lane departure system uses Infiniti prevent the brake light to keep from falling into an M56 involuntarily. New this year is a point system optional intervention Blind, which tries to keep the M in its own lane - using the same techniques that the prevention of lane departure braking - if it detects the car is moving traffic in the driver's blind spot. Optional adaptive headlamps can be rotated a few degrees in the direction of rotation. The system of adaptive cruise control can warn the driver brakes and preload for a quicker response in case of detecting rapidly slow traffic ahead.
