Toyota Yaris

The Yaris is a very competent small car that both versatile and reliable. A choice of three body styles and five doors, the highest reliability and the interior is spacious and practical. There is a choice of three engines, all of which are very cheap to run. This is not the cheapest car to buy small, but the Toyota Yaris is a good all-rounder.

Drive
If you plan to use the Yaris for highway or road trips regularly, while 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine probably not for you. It only provides 68bhp and a slow acceleration. The most recent gasoline engine 1.33 liter is much stronger - it has 100 hp and is better suited for a car of this size. The 89bhp 1.4 liter diesel is the fastest of all and is extremely cheap to run. Do not expect to be excited by the Yaris, in any form, however, that the light control is easy to use, but will not appeal to fans of driving.

Comfort
Previous Yaris is not known for comfort, but Toyota made a big effort to improve the current car. There is no more space in every direction, and front seat passengers and the floor flat in the back offers space for the legs. Suspension Toyota can still be a little 'nervous though - it bounces over bumps and rough roads, especially when it has large wheels.

Reliability
Do not let the horror stories to scare others, such as the Toyota Yaris is well known for excellent reliability. The company now offers a five-year/100 0.000 miles warranty fully insure their customers. The interior is well screwed together, although part of the dashboard plastics look pretty cheap.

Prcaticality
It's small, but the Yaris has a handy inside. The sliding rear bench seat is very flexible - you can drag it back to change the prejudices between the start space and legroom in the rear. With the rear seats upright and pushed as you go, there are still 257 liters of luggage available. Most of its city rival Toyota is easy to improve, but the slide fully forward and a huge 640 liters is released. The rear seats completely flat, even, creating a very useful tool chamber 737 liters

Value for Money
Unfortunately, the Yaris has a list price slightly higher than most of its major competitors. It is expensive to buy than other small cars like the Skoda Fabia and even some versions over the Opel Astra. Resale values hard work for Yaris, however, and you can expect good service and strong after-sales support of Toyota dealers.

Running Costs
No Yaris is expensive to run. Both gasoline engines will cost a measly £ 30 a year road tax, because they emit 118g/km and 120g/km of CO2 respectively. 1.0-liter version will return 56.5mpg on average, but the 1.33-liter engine is almost as good at 55.4mpg - which is less waste for extra power. Opt for the diesel for cars of the final budget, however. You will receive a wallet friendly 68.9mpg on average and road tax costs £ 20 per year.

+ Plus:
* Improved reliability
* The engines are cheap to run
* Practical design

- Minus:
* It is not so cheap to buy competitors
* Unexciting driving experience
* Entry-level engine is slow

A car is the first line of the new Prius models, Toyota calls the "family Prius", which includes city car smaller than a regular Prius.

Exterior
Not a drastic change in the design department of the regular Prius. Toyota maintains the familial form, while adding a considerable amount of interior space. Increase the total length of 6 inches on the regular Prius, and V is an inch wider. Toyota says the front bumper has "aero corners" to improve aerodynamics and a roof spoiler to improve airflow and achieve a low air resistance for better efficiency.

Interioro
All changes will create more space inside, where there is an additional 12.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Like the regular Prius, V is the room for five passengers, the third row was not added more space in behind the second row. Low loading height and a wide gap in the back should be particularly attractive to families that are often used in the luggage compartment.

The increased cargo space have teamed up with more passenger space for rear passengers, headroom and legroom has been increased over the standard Prius. The 60/40 split rear seat slides forward and back and tilts up 45 degrees.

Some unique features include a panoramic sunroof. Weight is the enemy of fuel economy, and Toyota says that this configuration in the V is 40 percent lighter than a conventional roof. The V is also one of the first to offer the Toyota Entune multimedia company that combines a mobile phone, navigation and entertainment.

Under the Hood
The same hybrid system that powers the Prius sedan is under the skin Prius 1.8-liter four-cylinder V is 98 horses and 105 pound-feet of torque, while the electric motor makes 80 hp and 153 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Gas mileage is not ranked as high as a regular Prius. A Prius model estimated 42/38 mpg city speed / highway, with a combined 40 mpg rating. It's a 10 mpg standard with less than a Prius.

Safety
Standard safety equipment includes electronic stability control, traction control (both are needed federal law), seven airbags and ABS with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist. Bypass brake system is standard. It is usually not seen as a standard, but the constant V, is the backup camera.

It is lightweight and can simply fit four adults. The 2011 model is now available in more color choices and has been fitted with an electronic brake-override system. The new Yaris comes in three body styles: the four-door hatchback, the two-door hatchback and the four-door sedan. The colors Yellow Jolt, Zephyr Blue and Carmine Red Metallic have been discontinued but new colors such as white and silver have been added. This vehicle is just 12 feet long so room for cargo is a bit of a problem. As for leg space, the sedan type Yaris has a bit more of that compared to the other two body styles. The height of the vehicle is not a problem because there is sufficient room for the passengers to sit upright exclussive of hitting their heads in the ceiling.

The instrument panel of the 2011 Toyota Yaris is something that needs getting used to since it is not placed right in front of the driver. The instrument panel of the Yaris is located on the central pod which is not its usual location. There is only one type of trim for this vehicle but its exterior appearance can be upgraded by adding add-ons such as alloy wheels. Sport packages are also accessable where color-keyed spoilers can be added as well as fog lamps and "S Badging". The Sport Package also allows the car owner to have elective bucket seats installed mutually with a steering wheel with leather accents and leather-covered shift knob.
