2012 Scion xB

Scion announced today that its iconic xB now comes standard with Bluetooth handsfree and audio streaming Bluetooth and HD Radio for model year 2012.

The xB also features a new standard AM / FM / CD / HD / USB 160-watt maximum output Pioneer audio system. New standard features for 2012 include HD Radio and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing both hands free connection and streaming audio capabilities. Streaming audio allows compatible phones or personal devices of the hand with the audio system and listen to music through the car audio system.



The audio system also includes a screen with an organic electroluminescent display of personalized service, connectivity for iPod / USB, Advanced Sound Retriever, and a subwoofer RCA output. USB and universal auxiliary port located on the center console allows users to listen to their portable music collection xB six Pioneer speakers.

Connectivity is achieved by simply plugging the portable music player, including iPod and iPhone, USB or AUX port. The main unit display shows the track number, song name and artist of select USB drives. Music is controlled through the head unit and steering control buttons on the steering wheel audio for radio, CD and certain USB devices. IPod users can also use an alphabetical speed search to find an artist or album.

The ASR function restores a wide, deep and rich quality to MP3/WMA/AAC sound. With the RCA subwoofer output, xB owners can add an external amplifier to drive one or more subwoofers. For ease of use, multi-selector system for easy control of the main unit. Unique to the standard Pioneer audio system is adapted to the welcome screen that allows users to create a personal message of up to 16 characters.

Optional 200-watt maximum Pioneer premium audio system has the same features as the standard Pioneer audio, but has been improved 5.8-inch LCD touch screen, the features of iTunes tagging, and the Pandora Internet radio iPhone connected, and six RCA jacks for adding external amplifiers.

The two units of standard and premium head to retain key Scion audio system features such as Scion Sound Processing, where listeners can choose from three preset equalizer settings, satellite radio compatibility and MP3 and WMA. In addition, both units adjust the volume control based on driving speed. The sound systems feature six speakers: a tweeter and a speaker in each front door panel, and two large speakers in the rear.

In 2012, the xB has a 2.4-liter double overhead-cam transferred four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing producing 158 horsepower. It is rated California Level II Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV II). XB EPA estimated fuel economy rating of 22 city/28 highway for both gearbox five-speed manual and four-speed automatic with sequential shift.

XB features steel wheels 16-inch and customers can choose from three standard wheel covers. XB stops with 10.83-inch ventilated discs in front and 10.98-inch disc brakes at the rear and features a MacPherson front strut suspension and rear torsion beam.

XB 2012 arrives in showrooms in July this year, and makes for an MSRP of $ 16.300 and $ 17.250 for five-speed manual and four high-speed sequential automatic gearbox, respectively. MSRPs do not include shipping costs.

Vostok Europe ANCHAR & Greek National Free-Diving TEAM

By TLex Vostok Europe has sponsored the Greek National Free-diving Team for the world’s largest free-diving event, the AIDA Free-Diving World Championship, which takes place every two years. The 2011 sea World Championships (WC) athletes competed in all three disciplines: constant weight with fins, constant weight without fins and free immersion. The WC took place between the 15th and 25th of September 2011 in Kalamata, Greece. Approximately 160 athletes from 32 countries competed in the event. The Greek National Team was represented by 9 free divers, who were each equipped with Vostok Europes ANCHAR dive watch . . .

VULCAIN Trophy Nautical Limited Edition

From VULCAIN As title sponsor of the trophy, Swiss watch manufacturer Vulcain wished to highlight this season by issuing a special edition of its legendary Cricket Nautical alarm wristwatch. Produced in a 100-piece series – three of which were presented to the skippers who reached the podium of the Vulcain Trophy 2011 – this limited edition is distinguished by a resolutely different design. The 42 mm-diameter case, water-resistant to 300 metres and featuring alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces, is topped by an unusual bezel adorned with the “Clou de Paris” hobnail pattern.



The triple case-back – which enhances the sound and also means the alarm can be used under water – is engraved with the inscription “Vulcain Trophy 2011”, a depiction of the Decision 35 boat, as well as the individual number from 1/100 to 100/100 allocated to each watch. A new rubber-coated waterproof strap – with blue stitching matching the dial décor – accentuates the sporting nature of this exclusive Nautical model. 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible

Most recently, the redesigned Chrysler Sebring sedan and renamed the 200th now one of the most popular convertibles in recent decades have had the same name change and redesign.




Of course, they faded Sebring Convertible popularity considerably with the recent redesign. One of the biggest mistakes we did with the car is its overall structure. Creaky significantly, a sign of serious problems with its chassis and suspension. We are therefore delighted to read that Chrysler says it has retuned or redesigned "virtually all parts of the suspension" in this new model.

The remaining amendments reflect changes in the sedan, with a new look with sharper headlights and a bolder grille treatment and the back looks even more on the convertible class.

It has yet to choose a retractable hardtop or soft top, and the Sebring is not a size luxury car with a retractable hardtop. What you decide to start, can be calculated using the keychain.

Engine choices are the same as the sedan. The base engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and optional V-6 is a new 3.6-liter, the obligation to see almost all the other new Chrysler products. Chrysler has not informed the power figures are convertible, but it is safe to guess that would be identical to the sedan with 173 hp and 283 hp respectively.



The interior receives the redesign as well as the sedan, too, but we were not so impressed with the transformation as given to the great Chrysler 300 Sedan Town & Country van.

2011 Chrysler 300
