2012 Volkswagen Passat



Overview
The redesigned 2012 Volkswagen Passat reflects the direction of greater and style that consumers can recognize the new Jetta. They look similar, but the Passat is larger than the Jetta and have a larger footprint than the previous Passat. It competes with midsize sedans like the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Kia Optima.

Buyers will notice immediately that the lower initial price, chopped $ 27 195 in 2010 to nearly $ 20,000, according to Volkswagen. Some of the standard features of the Passat has been lost with the new design, however.

Exterior

Under the Hood
The turbo engine and is standard on the Passat is replaced by a less powerful five-cylinder engine and 170 horsepower that 177 pounds-feet of torque. This engine comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission and an optional six-speed automatic.

Safety
