ZENTON B43 (update)

By TLex I know a couple of guys were inquiring on the OT FB page, so for James and others; the ZENTON B43 is now available for order. Yes, that was a fast 'coming soon'! Specifications include: a 42mm x 15.5mm Bronze UNI 5275 case (43mm inc. turning bezel) water resistant to 500m, a double domed sapphire crystal with AR coating (inside) and a Swiss mechanical ETA 2824-2 incabloc (adjusted to 5 positions). The crown, caseback and buckle are in 316L stainless steel. Handset, dial and bezel are applied with Swiss SuperLuminova. Price is around 1'270USD + shipping. Only 25 pieces available.

TISSOT Seastar 1000 Automatic (first look)

By TLex Here's a quick first look at the new entry level diver from TISSOT and the little brother of the Seastar 1000 Chrono. The Seastar 1000 Automatic has a 42mm stainless steel case, which has a water-resistance of 300 meters and houses a Swiss automatic caliber, the ETA 2824-2 with 25 jewels, beating at 28'000 vph with a power-reserve of 40 hours and date function. Its movement with custom rotor can be viewed through an exhibition caseback. Other features include: a sapphire crystal and HEV (9 o'clock).







Three dial variants are available: blue with white handset and markers, black with orange handset and markers or black with white handset and markers. Prices range from 875 to 925USD (bracelet). Everything seems to work for me; a lovely clean dial layout, cool handset, simple overall design. It should make someone a great first Swiss mechanical diver.

Drive

Practicality

Both three and five-door models offer a space almost the same inside, even if access to the rear seat is a bit tricky in the three-door. The boot is large and access to good, while a false floor hiding extra depth and offers secure storage. A large glove box and charges docking end of the series in the cab means you'll never run out of places to lose things!



Value for money

No other supermini feel so sophisticated, but is not reflected in the price list. With a wide range of products offered, entry-level run-around flagship GTI, Polo did not, for all budgets. For a well-equipped car, then Fashion / C, trim level, which adds alloy wheels, electric windows all round, MP3-compatible stereo and air conditioning. Input Level D offers just the basics.



Running costs
