Overview
Recently redesigned in 2009, the F-150 gets a major upgrade for 2011 is raised to provide greater power and fuel efficiency. The old 4.6-liter and 5.4 liter V-8 engines are stopped, replaced by three new engines, including a 3.7-liter V-6, 5.0 liter V-8 and 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. First last year 6.2-liter V-8, available only to the Raptor, is now available for high-end F-150 models like the Harley-Davidson, King Ranch and Platinum models.
In the two years since the redesigned F-150 went on sale, half-ton pickup has won numerous awards, including Best PickupTrucks.com complete light collection. The F-150 offers the best in your class notes for the trailer (11,300 pounds) and payload (3030 pounds). There are three cab styles: regular, extended and crew cab.
Exterior
Ford has made minor changes to the exterior for 2011. Each level F-150 grille fits their own treatment, from a. Simple base XL trim and grille with mesh inserts for the highest trim levels of the grid pad called platinum satin chrome, and repeated in a metal panel on the tailgate. Platinum is also chrome mirrors and 20-inch rims aluminum 16 branches. The rest of the range offers 16 options of the wheel from 17 inches to 22 inches in diameter.
Some of the unique features offered alternatives to the box load. Divided into Super Duty, a step to pull out of the open door and hinges to facilitate climbing on the bed. Post tailgate swings and locks to form a handle to help reinforce the bed. Another option inherited from Ford trucks continued to read. This facilitates access to Ford C-channel rails, which allow you to position the cleats down the road at any length drawer. They are planning a spring pin, as GM uses, so that they can be placed again in a few seconds without twisting. Other features that take advantage of these tracks are heavy elements, beams, and the Ford-branded tool box that hangs on the inner wall of the box. Exterior features include:
- Capless fuel-filler system
- Available dealer-applied vinyl wraps to customize the F-150
- Available reverse-sensing and backup camera
- Available running boards or tubular side steps
- Available telescoping tow mirror
- Available two-tone paint on some models
Interior
The F-150 receives a number of new features inside that made its debut in the 2011 F-Series Super Duty, including a revised instrument panel with the best in its class with a trip computer and information system truck wheels Optional telescopic steering that improves driver comfort.
The interior includes buttons extended controls and less intrusive door panels with map pockets in SuperCab and SuperCrew large. There is a large lockable center storage console to accommodate laptops with added back compatible with hanging files.
F-150 seats use high quality materials and are available with power adjustments including lumbar support, heating and cooling. The materials are easier to clean, Ford said, and higher levels using real wood trim and metal in the interior. Cabin noise is drastically reduced, Ford said, and the Platinum trim level boasts of additional noise attenuation.
SuperCrew cab has a rear seat that rivals inside the Toyota Tundra Crew Max. The rear seat opens to reveal a flat floor and 57.6 cubic feet of cargo volume, according to Ford. The space is 47.9 inches tall from floor to ceiling.
Despite an arguably successful luxury division microphones in Lincoln, Ford decided to test the idea of the parent brand of platinum, which includes leather seats with stitching and embroidered logos provided. MP3 and USB jack for standard stereo, and power retractable running boards seen on the expedition are now optional here, too.

F-150 Raptor SVT configuration adds a new cabin with room for rear passengers extra. The Raptor has unique fabric and leather seats and a leather steering wheel with a sharp center to help the driver quickly redirect to the center line while driving at high speed off-road.
More goodies are optional backup camera (a stand-alone option), which helps line up hitch, brake controller is integrated over the first trailer to be available for collection of light. Ford Sync voice-activated multimedia system is available with 911 Assist, a new service is responsible for GM's OnStar. The optional navigation system uses an 8-inch touch screen that displays real-time traffic and gas prices in the nearby station, when the team Sirius Travel Link service Sirius Satellite Radio.
Under the Hood
Ford is replacing its legacy two-valve and three-valve 4.6-liter V-8 twins and the venerable three-valve 5.4-liter V-8 in the F-150 with technically advanced six- and eight-cylinder engines that Ford says will be the most fuel efficient in the industry. Ford is also shifting exclusively to six-speed automatic transmissions for every powertrain.
Ford's all-new Duratec 3.7-liter V-6 is the new base engine for the F-150. It's rated at 300 horsepower and 275 pounds-feet of torque on regular unleaded fuel, though it will also burn E85 ethanol. Ford Ranger buyers are a potential target for the 3.7-liter V-6, when production of Ford's compact pickup ends in 2011. With all of this power, maximum trailer towing with the 3.7-liter V-6 is up to 6,100 pounds. The 3.7-liter V-6 will be available for all cab configurations, up to a two-wheel-drive SuperCrew — the only V-6 full-size pickup with a crew cab.
As originally announced in 2009, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 will be the first application of Ford's gasoline direct-injection twin-turbo technology in a half-ton pickup. It's Ford's effort to shrink engine displacement for improved fuel economy while delivering tons of low-end power. The twin-turbo setup should also prove ideal for towing at altitude, where a naturally aspirated engine can have difficulty feeding air to its cylinders. It will be rated to tow up to 11,300 pounds. In the engine lineup, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 6.2-liter V-8 will occupy the top two slots. Ford hasn't said how much it will cost. It may carry a premium over the 6.2. The EcoBoost V-6 won't be available in the F-150 until the first quarter of 2011.
The new 5.0-liter "Coyote" V-8 is rated at 360 hp (at 5,500 rpm) and 380 pounds-feet of torque (at 4,250 rpm). It's positioned as the midrange, high-volume engine choice for the F-150, below the 3.5-liter V-6 and conventional large-displacement 6.2-liter V-8. Although the 5.0 produces more power than the outgoing 5.4-liter V-8, it won't carry as high a tow rating. Its maximum will be only 9,800 pounds trailering, instead of 11,300 pounds. Peak torque has also moved up the rpm band, from a low 3,500 rpm in the 5.4-liter V-8.
The single-overhead-cam 6.2-liter V-8 that debuted in the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is rated at a brawny 411 hp and 434 pounds-feet of torque. Mechanical features include:
- 3.7-liter V-6 four-valve rated at 300 hp and 275 pounds-feet of torque
- 5.0-liter V-8 four-valve rated at 360 hp and 380 pounds-feet of torque
- 3.5-liter V-6 four-valve EcoBoost
- 6.2-liter V-8 two-valve rated at 411 hp and 434 pounds-feet of torque
Safety
Standard features, along with the required front airbags, include side curtain airbags to protect front and backseat occupants, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system with traction control and Roll Stability Control, which uses a sensor to detect the start of a rollover and attempts to forestall it. Other safety features include:
- Head restraints
- Seats designed to help keep passengers properly positioned
- Dual-stage front airbags
- Front seat-belt pretensioners

Overview
Nissan Versa Sedan has redesigned its 2012. While the car's styling is not particularly memorable, buyers will appreciate the spacious interior, low starting price and gas mileage mpg 30/37 city / highway estimated. The Versa is one of the most affordable cars U.S. competitors are the Hyundai Accent, Toyota Yaris and Ford Fiesta. Is expected to arrive in showrooms in the summer of 2011.
Exterior
We have seen significant benefits to the design economy cars with the introduction of the Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Accent redesigned, but Nissan seems to have de-emphasized design with the new Versa sedan, which has a largely forgettable outside. The design, however, let Versa glide smoothly into the air when the sedan has a drag coefficient of 0.31.
The Versa is the standard steel wheels with covers 15-inch aluminum wheels and 15-inch are optional.
Interior
The quality of the Versa's cabin is a bit disappointing, because you have a setback from the interior of the Versa with its existing base materials and controls. However, the Versa is a car to optimize space and can comfortably accommodate adult passengers in the front and rear together.
The Versa hatchback is offered in three trim levels: base 1.6 S and 1.6 SV, and high-level 1.6 SL. Standard features include air conditioning and CD stereo system. Moving 1.6 SV adds cruise control, mirrors, power windows and seats, high quality fabric. If you select the 1.6 SL is also a variable-intermittent wipers, 60/40-split folding rear seat, Bluetooth connectivity and an updated control of the steering wheel with stereo sound and USB connection. The optional navigation includes a 5-inch touch screen.
Under the Hood
The Versa sedan is rated at 109, 1.6-liter four-cylinder. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission.
Safety
Standard features include antilock brakes, side airbags for front seats, side curtain airbags and electronic stability.
