Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 – New 2012 Lotus Evora GTE Road Car

Acording to a recent reports, the Norfolk-based sports car manufacturer is planning to introduce an updated Lotus Evora at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Details are limited, but in related news, the Evora 2012 lineup is set to expand with a convertible and a high-performance variant that will adopt a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine with 400 hp.

BMW M5 Crash Details Emerge

Edmunds Inside Line went and did what we were too bothered to do yesterday and dug up details on the tragic 2008 BMW M5 crash at Jumbolair Estates in Florida. As our intrepid commenters noted, the lad was a member at M5board.com and had recently inquired as to the normalcy of a thunking transmission sound at excessive speeds. Warnings to the youth proved less sexy then the lure of speed and around 3:30 a.m. on January 26, when the Space Gray M5 and it's occupants shuffled off this mortal coil. Further details and a map pointing out where Travolta calls home (why it's relevant, we still don't know) over at the line that is always the innermost.

2011 Audi Q7

First Generation (2007-Present)

The full-sized crossover sport utility vehicle, Q7 is offered in Quattro four wheel drive system. The standard engine to the model is a 4.2 liter V8 version. The other engines available to the vehicle include 3.6 liter FSI V6, 4.2 liter TDI V8, 3.0 liter TDI V6 and 6.0 liter TDI V12. These engines can be mated to only available 6-speed automatic transmission. With the standard engine, the SUV model can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a time span of just 8.5 seconds.

As far as the exterior dimensions of the model are concerned, it has the wheel base of 118.2 inches, length of 200.2 inches, width of 78.1 inches and height of 68.3 inches. It is related to Volkswagen Touareg model. The Q7 Crossover is the first model to feature side assist system.

Despite its safety electronics and multiple air bags, the Q7 scored above average in NCAP crash tests. However, it received five star ratings in NHTSA tests conducted in USA.

2011 Q7 Crossover is launched in market with revised engine specifications for delivering higher fuel-economy. The vehicle is equipped with strong 3.0-liter V-6 engine, which produces 333-horsepower, coupled to 8-speed automatic transmission system.
