2012 Porsche Panamera

The 2012 Porsche Panamera gains a pair of new models on opposite ends of the spectrum: the S Hybrid and the 550-horsepower Turbo S.

One thing that Porsche is not worried, it offers a multitude of choices. There are only 20 911 different variations, and each had Porsche may be hundreds of choices. 2012 Porsche Panamera to add to his own car horn o'plenty with some new models, the Panamera S oriented fuel hybrid and the flagship Turbo S.

S Hybrid, as its name suggests, is equipped with a gasoline-electric hybrid. Developed in collaboration with parent company Volkswagen, the drivetrain uses an electric motor sandwiched between an Audi V6 original compressor and an eight-speed automatic. The result is a combined output of 375 hp and 427 lb-ft of torque, or the same output as the S. V8 Panamera

Porsche says S Hybrid goes from zero to 60 km / h in 5.7 seconds, a time which is a bit slower than the V8 because of the increased emphasis hybrid. With estimates of 20 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, the Panamera Hybrid is still very far from the Prius territory, but it becomes four mpg better fuel economy in town that the Panamera S and 2 mpg better in town than the Panamera V6 base. Highway fuel economy is worse than the S and the same as the V6.

A Porsche hybrid species always seem strange, even in the discussion, and weird Panamera. Therefore, the second new member of the family seems to be more appropriate. The high-end Porsche Panamera Turbo S has a more powerful twin-turbo V8 Turbo model now. With 550 hp and 553 lb.-ft. of torque coupled to the automated manual transmission Porsche Turbo S should hit 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, absolutely atrocious. It's just a bit slower than a 911 Turbo.

The other five variants are expected to transfer Panamera unchanged for 2012, and we want more information about them in the coming months. Return in the fall of 2011 for more details and advice on buying Porsche Panamera 2012.

RAVEN Watches 'Vintage Series' (first look)

By TLex A couple of months back I talked about RAVEN Watches' brand revitalization through their new partnership with STEVRAL LLC, the parent company of BENARUS Watches. Since then, RAVEN Watches have already begun production of 100 pieces of their 'Vintage Series' watches. The new Vintage Series watches will have 42mm brushed stainless steel cases. As is traditional for this style of vintage military diver, its crown will be unguarded. It will be fitted with an authentic looking high-domed acrylic crystal. To insure its 200 meters of water-resistance its screwdown crown will feature triple gaskets.

The bezel numbers and markers will be engraved into the alloy insert and then filled with a C3 lume, the alloy insert will have a glossy black finish. C3 SuperLuminova will also be used on the dial and its polished gold Mercedes-style hands. To match the handset the text and minute marks on the dial will also be in gold with the addition of red lettering for its water-resistance marking. Finally a 22mm vintage style oyster bracelet is being produced for the Vintage Series; the bracelet will not taper at the buckle. Production will take around 4-5 months from now.
