Uhren Von URH 411 & 441 Divers

By TLex Uhren Von URH are a German based online watch company making affordable no nonsense timepieces. They have three divers models in their collection. Only two of which have a water-resistance of 200m or upwards. However both models are equipped with Swiss ETA 2824 automatic movements, but with costs that barely exceed 300USD . . .

The watches themselves are quite basic looking, no silly names, no logos, no signed crowns, no dial colors other than black, no frills! Basically no pretension other than to what they are. I only have the images to go by, but they look to be fairly solid watches and functional, too. I like the grip on the crowns and the bezels, especially on the 411, which looks to have been designed with some thought to it's actual use.

The 411 with its unmistakable ZENO Airplane Diver handset and professional dial markers (where have I seen them before?) has a stainless steel case measuring 46mm x 17mm. The case, which features both screw-down caseback and crown has a water-resistance of 500m or 50 ATM. As mentioned before it has a pretty useful looking rotational divers bezel with black IP treatment and comes on a solid stainless steel bracelet with divers deployment clasp. Price is approx. 286USD . . .

The 44I is the more generic looking of the two, it reminds a little of an ORIENT Diver. It also has stainless steel case measuring 43mm x 14mm. The case has a water-resistance of 200m or 20 ATM. It is also equipped with a screw-down crown and caseback, and rotational divers bezel. It comes on solid stainless steel bracelet with divers deployment clasp. Price is approx. 329USD . . .

So what's that catch? Well, if there is one, it's that both watches are fitted with mineral crystals. But going from personal experiences here, I wouldn't let that in perturb you from what could be a nice beater if you fancied either of them. I have have several watches now with K1 hardened mineral crystal, which is most commonly used and it holds up very well ;)

OceanicTime have absolutely no affiliation with Uhren von UHR . . .
